Whom do I call to discuss my benefits?

Call California Field Ironworkers Trust Fund at 1-800-527-4613. Open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (PST).

How long does it take to become eligible for benefits?

You must work 300 consecutive hours within the first three months of your employment to become eligible for benefits. Insurance is effective the first day of the fifth month.

Whom do I contact concerning eligibility?

Call the Employer Control Department at the California Field Ironworkers Trust Fund at 1-800-527-4613.

Whom do I contact concerning my prescription(s)?

Call the Prescription Solutions Department Customer Service at 1-800-797-9791. When you call, be prepared to provide your I.D. number, which in most cases is your Social Security number.

What if I need to go to an emergency room during the weekend? What do I do? What information do I give the hospital?

If you or those covered by your insurance must go to an emergency room during the weekend, visit the one nearest to you. You will need to present your insurance card and photo I.D. to assure emergency medical coverage. Make sure your health insurance covers emergency care.

How and when can I withdrawal my annuity money?

Call the Annuity Department at the California Field Ironworkers Trust Fund at 1-800-527-4613.

How do I request a pension summary?

You must request a pension summary in writing to the Pension Department at the California Field Ironworkers Trust Fund. Submit your written request to:

Are my children covered after 18 years of age?

Yes, your children are covered until the age of 24. After the age of 21, however, you must submit proof that he or she is a full-time student. You must fill out a Student Status Verification form. Click here to view the form*.

Are my stepchildren covered under my health insurance?

Yes. However you must provide proof that you are legally married to your current spouse. You must provide a certified copy of your Marriage Certificate. A copy of your Marriage License is not acceptable.

If I am hurt on or off the job, how do I freeze my benefits?

If you are hurt on or off the job, you must file a Disability Certificate form. Click here to view the form*.
